What could young people with DS and ASD create, if someone gave them the right tools and got out of the way?

Young people with Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders are routinely excluded from meaningful educational and creative opportunities. The professionals who support them often lack the tools and training to facilitate artistic expression or social entrepreneurship. As a result, a whole group of young people, with distinct voices, perspectives, and creative potential, remains on the margins of cultural and civic life. The project equips both young people with DS and ASD, and the professionals who work with them, with practical tools for creative expression and social entrepreneurship. A specialist curriculum gives educators and youth workers a concrete framework for supporting young people as agents of change. An "Express Yourself" e-learning platform gives young people a space to share ideas, connect with peers, and display their work. A digital toolkit introduces the basics of art and social entrepreneurship in an accessible, self-directed format.
